Prepare a training schedule to ensure those who need to be trained are trained in the laws that apply to their roles. For example, top leadership needs to be educated from an overview standpoint on all the laws. However, supervisors and managers may not need to be trained in ERISA rules, but should be trained on EEOC, OSHA, ADA, etc. Don’t include specific job titles, but instead include the kinds of roles that need to be included, e.g., bedside nurses, clinic nurses, ancillary medical professionals, housekeeping staff, nutrition staff, business office staff, manager, supervisors, department directors, etc.

- Prepare a table that includes who needs to be trained/educated and on which laws and regulations.
- Provide a summary of your understanding of the role human resources management plays in staff education related to laws, diversity, and employee roles and why having a training schedule is vital.
